20 Days Until Christmas

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.

And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!" Luke 1:26-28 NKJV

This is one portion of my mother's Christmas town collection. As I was working on the image, I thought about the various little Christmas town collections I had seen here and there. So often they look a little desolate ... like a deserted ghost town.

And then I began to realize ... there's bits of this and that to fill in the spaces. Just like trees and signs and light posts and fences fill in a real town's spaces, my mother's town is full of little pieces that move us along from one building to the next.

I'm so glad ya'll are enjoying this. I hadn't expected such excitement. It is so much icing on the cake for it to turn out this way.
