She's my nom de guerre. And what is that? You might ask. Well, let me tell you. I just found out!

I was going to say that MarillaAnne is my nom de plume, my pen name. But when I looked it up at TheFreeDictionary.com to be sure I had it spelled right, I noticed that nom de guerre is a name one uses to stay anon in a social activity. And as we all know the Internet is a social activity ... always has been.

For a long time I did not associate my "real name" with my online name. Lots of obvious reasons. And, yes, MarillaAnne was inspired by a mix of Marilla and Anne from Anne of Green Gables. Anne is a character but the character who inspires me is Marilla.
