Telling My Stories and Discovering Your Stories

Keeping to myself
11/19/07

I'm either keeping secrets, not ready to reveal my plans, behind on my plans, or letting go of ideas. So in the mean time let me share with you what the side of the road has been collecting and holding on to for weeks.

Items that have been accumulating beside the road for over 6 weeks. They finally demanded to be "collaged."

Have fun,
Enjoy,
pam

Pam is a Texan living on the Southern fringe of Upstate New York where every day offers up a reason for meditation on my surroundings.

I enjoy your comments. And I want you to enjoy reading each other's comments. To that end purpose, I moderate comments. If you're impatient, MeeboMe.

Commenting Ideas
  • If you do not have a blog or site, skip the "web site" line, pull a name or "handle" out of your head, write a note, push the button. (No excuses!)
  • If this entry reminds you of a story of a similar place in time in your life, you are welcome to tell your story.
  • If you discover your story is taking more than 3 or 4 paragraphs (and if you have a place on the web for your writings), I will not be insulted if you take your story back and finish it at your own site. But then I will be disappointed if you don't come back and leave me a summary of your story and a link -- in the comments.
  • If you have already written a story about a similar place in time, please feel free to leave a summary and a link.
  • It's never too late to make a comment or tell a story.

The keys are the best!

The leaves are pretty. I've become spoiled fast by having 4 seasons here - yeah winter is the longest one but i do get to see the other 3 for a few weeks out of the year.

I'm not sure I would have touched the hat.

~ The keys got me to thinking, wondering about their story ... I picked them up. Then I re-noticed the washer was a little further a long and picked it up. The hat ... I hesitated over the hat but this trip it had leaves in it and they sort of looked like they were trying to assimilate the hat into the ground. When I brought them home and laid them out, I was a little surprised to discover they appeared to belong to each other -- they were scattered out along about a half mile stretch -- who knows. ~pam

My website is largely my memoir ... my musings, photos, encounters, life's stories.

But what really thrills me is that when I let go of my stories, it's like sending out little sail boats out on expeditions. Very often they come back to me filled with other people's stories. Continue...
