Blessings Happen | As a trail boss, Billy is predictably erratic. "Hurry up Pam. Stop taking pictures of every tree, leaf, and rock." "Oh! Pam, Pam Get that shot!"
This was "Pam! Get THAT Shot!"
The sunlight was drifting down through the leaves in one of those classic soft streaming dramatic moments that movie directors crave.
It was incredibly beautiful and impossible to truly capture. Shelbie appears to also be admiring the scene ... she was starting to slow down a little ... but so content and happy.
We were very pleased we brought her. It's hard on her because of her arthritis. We have to remember that just because she'll hurt a bit more for a few days doesn't mean she should miss out on fun. Shoot I hurt the next day and I would have hurt you if you'd suggested I should have missed the hike.
She recovered very well.
We are about to leave her home alone today because we're headed into the city. She'll be depressed. We'll have to take her out tomorrow. This dog gets depressed if she doesn't get to go.
But back to the truth of the moment. Let me assure you ... she was not admiring the lighting ... she was constantly aware of all smells in the air. True to her Finnish Spitz heritage ... She wanted to be hunting!
